A. Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions shall apply to all transactions between Book Hampers Australia (“Book Hampers”) and any person, firm or company (“the Purchaser”) placing an order with Book Hampers for the supply of Book Hampers and Gifts. Book Hampers agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to purchase the Book Hampers at the price stated and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of Book Hampers stated herein.
1. Ordering
Please provide clear delivery details with a contact phone number to help us get your order delivered in time. We advise that orders for Christmas are placed before the first Monday in December.
2. Payment
Complete payment has to be done before the order will be processed and delivered. If the Purchaser wishes to collect the Book Hamper or Gift, payment will need to be finalised before pick up.
3. Prices
Prices are correct at the date of printing. Prices do not include delivery.
4. Cancellation
Cancellations or alterations to orders must be made within 24 hours of ordering and before delivery.
5. Delivery
We will make every effort to dispatch orders at the same business day when ordered before 11am. If the order consists of 10 or more Hampers, we will dispatch within 2 working days. Alternatively, you can request your desired delivery date.
Hampers and Gifts ordered on Saturday or Sunday will be send on the following Monday. If you are requesting delivery on a specific date, please ensure you place your order earlier than the required delivery times. Specific delivery dates cannot be guaranteed, however they are rarely missed. The carrier will attempt delivery and if the recipient is not at home the carrier will leave a card with written instructions asking them to contact their local depot to arrange a convenient delivery date. If there has been no response within 3 working days Book Hampers will be notified of the situation. If Book Hampers is unable to rectify the problem, having tried to make contact with the Purchaser, then the hampers will be returned to our warehouse. Thereafter, the Purchaser will incur a redelivery charge to deliver the hampers again at twice the original cost, since Book Hampers will have incurred a return charge by the courrier.
5.1 Delivery at home and office addresses
We can deliver to home addresses, however it is preferable to take delivery at a work address thus ensuring that someone is there to sign for the delivery.
5.2 Signature required on delivery
When we ship your order with one of our Courier Partners, you will have to sign upon receiving your order. Your contact number is required so that a suitable delivery time can be arranged. We recommend your workplace as the preferred shipping address
5.3 Payment required before delivery
Please ensure that payment is completed so that we can deliver at the time and date requested.
6. Customer Service
The Purchaser should inform Book Hampers immediately of any problems. Complaints are taken very seriously and will be dealt with as soon as possible.
If the goods are damaged the Purchaser should contact Book Hampers within 3 days of receipt of goods. The damaged goods must be returned and we will exchange the items concerned.
Books that have remained in mint condition and that have not been read or opened can be exchanged. A receipt as proof of purchase is required and any exchange must occur within 30 days of purchase.
7. Substitution
Book Hampers will make every effort to supply the items specified. However we reserves the right to substitute items of similar or greater value, if for any reason those items listed on the web site or brochure are unavailable.
8. Force Majeure
Book Hampers will exercise every reasonable effort to meet the requested dispatch date. Book Hampers shall not, however, be liable for any loss or damage due to delays or failure to ship orders resulting from any cause beyond its reasonable control. Causes such as but not limited to securing necessary export licenses, compliance with laws or regulations, acts of God, acts or omissions of the Purchaser, acts of civil or military authority, judicial action, defaults of sub-contractors or suppliers, labor disputes, failure or delays in transportation, embargoes, wars or riots.
9. Privacy policy
Book Hampers collects the information provided by the Purchaser at the time of ordering and uses this information to process the Purchaser’s order and also to provide the highest level of customer service possible. Book Hampers will not provide the Purchaser’s information to third parties.

While we have taken all reasonable care in producing the information contained on this site, we do not promise that it contains all the information you need to answer all your questions. B. Shipping and Returns
Our hampers and gifts are easy to order and we can arrange prompt delivery for you anywhere in Australia. We ensure that your gift arrives safely and beautifully packaged in a specialy designed gift box with a tasteful greeting card. Please advise us of your greeting when checking out from the shopping cart. Your order will be confirmed after your check out.
All orders placed before 11.00am (EST) will be send out the same day. When you want your order to be delivered on a preferred day, please use the comment field to advise us. We can arrange next business day delivery for orders within NSW placed before 11.00am (EST)*. Invoice
Should you require an invoice for GST purposes, please notify us using the 'comments' section when placing an order and we will email you a taxable invoice. Your credit card is only charged after the order is processed. Please inform us if you are eligible for any discount and we will amend the sale price accordingly Your personal address book For your convenience we establish a personal address book when you place an order online. The nominated delivery addresses will be saved after checking out from the shopping cart. When ordering next time for the same person or company, you can easily choose the address from your personal address book.
Returns
If for any reason the gift recipient would like to exchange the books given to them. Before making an exchange, it is necessary to inform our hamper consultant so arrangements can be made Ph: (02) 9982 9851. C. Warranty on BeBooks C1 Subject to the conditions set out below Seller warrants that the Goods will correspond with their specifications in the Contract at the time of delivery and that they will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from delivery.
C2 The above warranty is given by Seller subject to the condition that Seller shall be under no liability under the above warranty (or any other warranty, condition or guarantee) if the total price for the Goods has not been paid by the due date for payment.
C3 A complaint under the warranty, in detail and in Writing, must be lodged with the Seller immediately, but in any event within ten (10) working days after discovery of the defect, failing which any warranty obligation of the Seller shall lapse.
C4 Where any valid claim in respect of any of the Goods which is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the Goods or their failure to meet the specifications in the Contract is notified to Seller in accordance with clause C3, Seller shall replace the Goods (or the part in question) free of charge or, at Seller's sole discretion, refund to Buyer the price of the Goods (or a proportionate part of the price), but Seller shall have no further liability to Buyer.
C5 Defects to the goods that are a consequence of improper use, defective maintenance or use for other than normal business purposes or inappropriate use are not covered by the warranty mentioned in C1.
C6 In the event of changes to the Goods, which include repairs and dismantlement of the Goods, that are carried out without Seller’s consent in Writing of the Seller and/or where parts other than those supplied by Seller are used, any claim or warranty shall lapse.
C7 Where the Goods are sold under a consumer transaction the statutory rights of Buyer are not affected by these Conditions.
* Delivery is subject to stock availability of the selected gift.

Book Hampers Australia respects your right to privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 and is required to comply with the national privacy principles in respect of the collection of personal information from individuals.
